The second tranche of the enigmatic Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc has just landed with us.
People often question why wines such as Cloudy Bay are so in demand. This is sometimes due to rave reviews from the like of Robert Parker , limited availability such as Chateau Mouton Rothschild and very rarely because the wine is actually rather quite good. Cloudy Bay Sauvignon is one of the few which span all three .. rave reviews, limited supply and a great drink. There are better Sauvignons but none have captured the magic of New Zealand in the way Cloudy Bay has entered the wine drinking psyche.
The 2008 vintage is promising to be one of the best for a while – lots of green, citrus fruits and a zingy tingle on the finish. It will be interesting to see how this wine develops over the next 12 months (all vintages of Cloudy Bay have improved with an additional 12 months in the bottle after release).
Due to the limited supplies we are offering the wine as a maximum 6 bottles per customer and is offered subject to availability.Share and Enjoy:
