Cottage for hire in Teesdale

The cottage is a converted stable and sleeps one couple with its own lounge and dining area and Luxury fitted kitchen. Although the cottage is small, we have fitted it to a very high standard with Dorma linen and luxury towels, Royal Doulton and Waterford crystal catering for your every comfort. There is Sky TV, full gas central heating and delightful views over St Romald’s Church, known as the Cathedral of the Dales from the upstairs full-length barn window.

The cottage is situated in the small village of Romaldkirk in Teesdale, six miles from Barnard Castle and the most beautiful countryside perfect for walking, cycling or sightseeing surrounds it. The famous Rose and Crown Hotel is next door with its many accolades including Michelin pub of the year and serving very good Theakstons Ales. It takes less than 2 hours travel from Sheffield area.

The Spectacular High Force, Britain’s highest waterfall is just a few miles up the valley or you can visit Beamish Museum for a great day out. More locally the wonderful Bowes Museum has recently had its magnificent Silver Swan refurbished and is currently exhibiting a delightful exhibition based on Children’s TV Characters.

The rate we charge is £40.00 per person per night, with no hidden extras

That’s just £160.00 for three nights on all bookings

We are happy to welcome a well-behaved dog as we have our own two not very well behaved puppies next door. The property is strictly no smoking and not suitable for young children due to the full length opening window on the first floor.
