As part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations we are holding a “Bake & Take” event along with the chance to meet wine makers and try your hand in our cookery school with sampler demonstrations on Saturday 17th October 2009.
The “Bake & Take” part of the day is to get your creative ideas flowing using locally sourced products. Whether you bake a meat pie using Derbyshire beef or a cake with a local twist so long as it is locally inspired it is eligible for inclusion. On the day our Master Chefs will judge the entries to select the best with prizes from Le Cresuet and Rangemaster being awarded to the winners.
The “take” part of the event is for all buddy photographers. Take a photo of anything cooking related to enter. This could be a pan of potatoes bubbling away on the stove or a spatula in the ferns at Stanedge Edge. The best photo will win a case of Champagne.
This is a great chance to meet some of our wine makers from around the world. Meet the people at the front line, taste their wines and ask them any questions you want… it is like a vineyard tour without the need for a passport!
Our cookery school will be open for scheduled demonstrations throughout the day. Advice will be given on getting the best from your kitchen equipment and tips and tricks from our Master Chefs to reinvigorate your culinary passion.Share and Enjoy:
