The highly anticipated Don Melchor 2007 will be released to the UK market at the end of September 2010.
2007 has been hailed as an ‘historic’ vintage, widely believed to be the best for Chilean reds in over a decade. Wines from this year show a characteristic combination of intensity, lovely acidity, purity of fruit and ripe, fine-grained tannins. Powerful yet elegant, these wines are the most balanced in recent Chilean history and should age beautifully.
Don Melchor was Chile’s first fine wine, with a back catalogue dating back to 1987. It is also the most highly acclaimed Chilean wine. From the 1999 vintage onwards, the wine has consistently scored 90 – 96 points in the Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate. The 2006 vintage scored 95 points with the Advocate.Share and Enjoy:
