Varietal wine exports increased 6% in the first five months of the year. In this period, Malbec exports amounted to 48.2% of the total bottled wine exports, growing 39.2% in value and 39.5% in volume.
In the first five months of the year, bottled wine exports grew 20.3% in turnover and 12.6% in volume. Malbec keeps being Argentina`s main exported varietal, since in this period it stood for 48.2% of the total bottled wine exports.
Malbec exports grew 39.2% in value (34 million dollars) and 39.5% in volume (972 thousand 9-liter cases). However, Malbec`s average price per case decreased 0.2%.
