Languedoc vineyards hit by thunderstorms – vines uprooted and roads destroyed.

March 11th – 13th 2011 saw extreme thunderstorms bash the Languedoc vineyards in France. These photos taken 3 days later by Michel Maréchal of nearby Domaine Le Cazal shows the overflowing river, destroyed roads and uprooted old vines. All producers in the area are working overtime to ensure the vines are OK and to safeguard future vintages.
