We are pleased to announced the new listing of 2006 Domain Saint Luc “Cuvée Emiliane”, Coteaux du Tricastin AC.
Following the grape harvest, the grapes are prepared for crushing. To avoid hard tannins getting into the wines, the grapes are de-stalked, and any debris is removed. Once this is completed, the traditional wine-making procedures can begin.
For the red wine, the fermentation – a crucial step – takes place after eight to 20 days of settling. It is only by experienced tasting that the right moment can be chosen for this step to begin. For the white and rosé wines, the grapes are crushed on arrival at the winery; the grape must is then kept at a low temperature to preserve all the subtle flavours.
The wine is then stored in barrels to age, to mature, and, by doing so, give to the wine the delicate flavours and tastes of the soil and grape. The time allowed for ageing will depend on the particular needs and characteristics of each wine.
Domaine Saint Luc Cuvée Emiliane is price at £9.90 per bottle and is available to buy in-store or online

Many thanks to my lovely wife, June, for putting on a fabulous offering this Christmas (and new year) for her boys (dog included!). My love for all things stuffing was well a truly catered for despite the usual consequences!
This year we went with roast beef (Marks & Spencer) for Christmas Day itself which made a fantastic alternative to the traditional turkey (which I admit to loving) with more roast potatoes and vegetables than you could shake a chocolate stick at. This was a metaphorical chocolate stick as I had eaten all the chocolate for breakfast.
We enjoyed a couple of hot glasses of Christkindl Gluhwein which went down a treat. I haven’t tried this in a while and had forgotten just how delicate and well produced this compared to the other mulled wines tried in the past.
The first wine tasting of the year will prove one of the most interesting as we show off our new range of bio dynamic & organic French wines from eleven different regions. The highlight will be a extra dry Champagne from ground breaking wine maker Franck Pascal one of the only bio dynamic Champagne producers in the World. With only 4 hectares of vines and a huge following come and try it before prices rocket out of control.
Other wine will include the amazing Cornas form the Rhone valley made by Chateau de Selve one of the most forward thinking Chateau’s in France. If you are looking for the next big thing in wine for 2012 you might just find it tonight.
