These 2004 vintage wines are part of a damaged box consignment we bought in specially to save you money. The wine is in perfect condition but the boxes and some labels may be suffering some light damage akin to being stored in a damp cellar. This cosmetic damage is reflected in the price which is a bargain for this Burgundy.

Pierre Naigeon Bourgogne AC Vielles Vignes shows rich, ripe, expressive blackberry fruit with upfront fruit mingled with complex and earthy tones. Great depth and concentrated fruit tones.

Pierre Naigeon Fixin Les Herbues AC Vielles Vignes is aged 12 months in oak barrels to create a deep, ruby red wine with a nose showing complex raspberry and blackcurrants with a slight floral edge. The palate is balanced and extremely elegant.

Thursday 16^th May will see regulars at Coghlans Thursday weekly bistro night enjoying a stunning treat with a sponsorship from Pommery to launch the Seasons range of single Cru Champagnes.

The flight of 4 glasses of Pommery’s unique styles will be served alongside the 3 course weekly market menu at a unique price of £35 per person. Guests have been enjoying Coghlans bistro nights since early April and this week’s menu was jubilantly received by specially invited Brides and Grooms who are using Coghlans to cater for their weddings.

After Canapés a Scallop and Salmon Ravioli  was served with a sauce vierge followed by a duo of Derbyshire Beef, Slow braised Shin and seared Fillet beef with a red wine jus lie.

The menu was completed with a delightfully elegant Vanilla and Raspberry Posset with some of Coghlans Chocolates rounding off the prefect night.

The bistro night runs every Thursday from 18^th April and bookings can be telephoned through on 01246 453131. The market menu changes weekly and features a choice of items on each course. Wines can be purchased from the extensive range in the adjacent Barrels and Bottles wine store and served in Riedel glasses at the retail shop price.

Coghlans Bistro Night takes place every Thursday with table bookings from 7pm and is typically priced at £29.95 per person.

Monday : a light Pinot Grigio from Veneto not too much alcohol for the start of the week.

Tuesday : enjoy an Exotic and Exciting delicious red wine from Morocco rounded and full with a long warming finish.

Wednesday : a day for a Wild Thing. Our organic biodynamic Sauvignon Blanc from Spain which raises funds for the Born Free foundation.

Thursday : rose a light prelude to the coming weekend. Fruity and fresh this wonderful Pinot Noir rose offers fruit and length.

Friday : it’s party night and celebrate the weekend with a delicious Prosecco extra dry Friday Fizz. Lives up to its reputation and starts the weekend with a bang.

Saturday – FREE NIGHT – Not only free but it’s the best wine of the week. Yes a free bottle of 2008 Bordeaux, Chateau Malartic Lauriol Bordeaux Rouge AC valued at over £15. Enjoy!

Fantastic savings on bin ends, mixed cases, spirits and fine vintage wines & champagnes. The auction is fun, friendly and not intimidating at all.

The auction starts at 11am tomorrow morning and should last no more than 90 minutes so back home in plenty of time to watch the football or take the kids to the park safe in the knowledge a bargain has been grabbed.
