A birthday party to remember…

“I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your team for a fantastic birthday meal. The food and service was amazing and just exactly what I was hoping for. Many of my guests particularly commented on the Prawn starter which was gorgeous and, of course, the cake was a centrepiece too – one guest said it was the best cake she’d eaten! It also looked stunning and I felt very spoilt!

Dear Andrew

Both Neil and myself just wanted to thank your team, Simon and yourself. We were bowled over by your entire organisation and how comfortable both of us felt.

We just hope that you get to South Africa soon so that we can show you the same levels of hospitality. I think its safe to say that the evening was enjoyed by all and thus a success.

I received the menu for tomorrow nights dinner with Michelin Chef Neil Jewell just 10 minutes after finishing my homemade cheese sandwich which suddenly seemed totally inadequate …

Neil and Simon are in the kitchens preparing at the moment and the aromas wafting up to the office are amazing. No wonder Matt is flying back early from his holiday in Spain to be here for the event!

Portuguese themed Lunch Club special – 13th October 2011

This months lunch club is running with a special theme, going back to part of the Coghlan Family roots with a Portuguese Luncheon and wines.

Andrew’s Paternal line is from the Azores Islands and we will be showcasing the national dish of Portugal in both the demonstration and the main course with Bacalhoa,
the perfect dish using air dried cod, potatoes, olives, eggs and olive oil. Wines will be from the Douro and from the Bairrada districts with a short talk about the wines of Portugal.

A superb 3 course luncheon plus wines and a cookery demonstration of traditional Portuguese dishes, all for £20 per person at Coghlans Cookery School in Sheepbridge between Sheffield and Chesterfield.
