What a day Saturday was. Myself and 9 women on a hen party with chocolate.
After a buffet for lunch, wraps sandwiches, pastries and plenty of fresh coffee, I got the ladies into the kitchen to get started with the Chocolate making part of the day. I had to put my foot down for fear of being overrun, as I was stood between the hens and the tempered chocolate, not a safe place to be!
Our first task was to make 12 chocolate truffles. Unfortunately some only ended up with 9 as ‘we had to try them’ they kept telling me.
While the truffles were chilling we made some very smart fresh strawberries in dinner jackets and a range of tasty fruits mediants. These are topped with dried and candied fruits and make a smart alternative at the end of a dinner party.
Finally we rolled what was left of the chocolate truffles in a range of tempered chocolate and decorated each one individually. There was no need for washing up as every drop of chocolate was eaten up.
