As part of our expanding range of quality boutique wines from Australia we have just taken delivery of the range from Paxton, McLaren Vale.

Confirming the resurgence of the Grenache grape variety we see a high mix blend (25%)from the Paxton AAA Shiraz Grenache wine. Big berry fruits dominate the palate with a floral highlights. With grapes sourced from the renowned “Jones Block” vineyards this is a wine to grace any cellar.

The Paxton Chardonnay sources the grapes from the “Thomas Block” vineyard to create an Australian wine with unparalleled freshness and exceptional depth of stone fruit flavour.

The range is not for everyday drinking (not on my wages at least) but as a special treat or “something for the weekend” they represent great value in terms of return on flavour and enjoyment. The Paxton Jones Block Shiraz is certainly a new contender for my Christmas Day red this year.
