In a huge world of ecommerce there are a lot of indifferent sites out there with apathetic customer services and delivery schedules to make you laugh. I recently had a very good shopping experience with
www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk and was so impressed with the range and levels of service just had to let our readers know about them - it's the least I can do.
I needed some cookie cutters and chocolate egg moulds for my 5 year old to keep him quiet over the half term. The order (small in the grand scheme of things) was placed at 4.00pm and the items arrived the following day at 9.30am! Fantastic service. The dinosaur shaped cookie cutter was the favourite (boys!) but particular note to the quality of the egg mould - certainly withstood this years egg-making and looks sturdy enough for a few more years of banging and twisting from indelicate small fingers.
Go check them out if you need any sort of materials for cake / cookie making and other assorted craft supplies. A permanent link has also been added to our links page as a small thank you and personal recommendation

This puzzle is impossible to solve so alas pointless in offering any prizes but here it is anyway....
Five hungry people work in a building. Three of these people are professional chefs. Part of the building is a cookery school with 7 double commercial grade rangemaster cookers, 5 sinks, 2 fridges and enough food to cater for a party of 150 people. Only 3 lunches are made. What happened to the other 2 lunches?

Unlike some of the faceless corporations you can encounter on the internet Barrels & Bottles is run by real-life, cheery and happy humans with a passion for their work.
Although we have a real world shop to see us live and personal we realise that some of our customers will only ever get to read our emails or hear our voices on the phone. As it is nice to put a face not only to the person but to the company as a whole we have created a new page called
Meet the Staff where you can see the key members of Barrels & Bottles.
Each of our responsibilities are outlined to help you track down the right person to answer any queries along with some of our favourites wines at the moment. Any mutterings of "Rogues Gallery" will be dealt with by Glenn in an dark alley!

The internet is down and you have no memory about buying the obscure bottle of wine that is at the back of the cupboard covered in dust. Just how do you know the quality of the the wine without opening and tasting?
A guy called "Itchy Squirrel" thinks he has the solution and even has a mathematical formula to work it out!
Price of bottle = (Dimple depth in mm + £3.49) / 4.3144
Does it work? The theory sounds great and the website makes a good read with statistical graphs and even a picture of a beard ... so who are we to argue.
Check out the site at
www.itchysquirrel.com and try it yourself.
