!!<<b>Using the Alcometer</b>>!

For accuracy, this procedure must be carried out with the wine temperature in the region of 20ºC.

Holding the vinometer / alcoholmeter with the reservoir uppermost, pour in a little wine and wait until it has started to drip from the bottom of the tube.

Then invert the vinometer / alcoholmeter onto a flat surface, allowing the excess wine drain away. Once the flow has stabilised, the level of the column of wine remaining in the tube indicates the alcohol content, as read against the scale.

Rinse the vinometer / alcoholmeter thoroughly in water after use.
