Bodegas Bonito Urbina is situated in Cuzcurrita de Rio Tiron, on the north-western edge of Rioja. A family owned estate consisting of some 75ha of vineyards. Four generations of the family have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of their vineyards and production of wine.

In 1975 Urbina began to age and bottle their own wine in order to retain the special characteristics of a small single estate. Their sole objective, the production of quality wines, has been achieved as the result of careful viticulture using traditional techniques, harvesting by hand and avoiding the use of weed killers and pesticides.

Bodegas Benito Urbina produces 400,000 bottles of red wines and 50,000 bottles of white and rosé from their own vineyards.

A superb white from an excellent vintage and one of Riojas most notable producers. This wine combines the traditional oak aged style with a modern clean fruit style.

Rich, vibrant lemon and peach fruit, is overlaid with plenty of salty, smoky, vanilla oak and the clean fruit finish lasts well.

100% Viura, Maceration with skin during 48 hours at 10ºC and Fermentation at 18ºC. White with green tinge colour. Very pleasant fruity and complex aromas. Compact flavours on palate with long aftertaste.

How Bodegas Bonito Urbina makes so svelte a Rioja whilst others fail is a testement to their attention to detail. Carefully crafted using the finest berries and matched with oak barrels to create a opulent and big glass wine.

95% Tempranillo and 5 % Graciano and Mazuelo. This wine is a selection of the very best grapes from vines over 20 years old, that are used for the production of Gran Reserva wines. Released early before reaching the status of Reserva, but having all the qualities of Gran Reserva wines. Fermentation at 28º C and Maceration during 28 days. Aged during 16 months in oak casks. Purple-Red with Ruby glints. Intense fruity aromas. Very pleasant and complex flavours and intense aftertaste. Well conserved at temperature between 15º and 18º C will develop its great qualities and will get to be a type Gran Reserva, after 3 or 4 years .
