Yaldara Stoney Vale Wines

Started by Hermann Thumm in 1946 when he purchased the ruins of a 19th century winery and flour mill, Yaldara is now a self-contained production facility, combining a winery, bottling hall, fine wine ageing cellars and distillery. In recent times, the winery has benefited from the introduction of new production techniques, bringing Yaldara to the forefront of Australian winemaking.

Stoney Vale is the block out at the back of the Yaldara vineyards where a creek used to flow. The old timers reckon that some of the best grapes come from here as the vines have to struggle a little bit more.

Nestled in South Australia’s famous Barossa Valley, Yaldara and its magnificent Château have long been recognised as one of the most picturesque and attractive wineries in the country.
