Domaine du Tunnel Cornas is crafted from 100% Syrah grapes from vines over 50 years old. These older vines ensure the maximum character and nuances are extracted from the terroir and grape, focussing the vines energy into the grape and not the root stock.

Stephane Robert sources the grapes from 15 hand-selected plots within the Cornas AC, many with near granite based soils.

Domaine du Tunnel Cornas is then aged in old barriques for 14 months

The nose shows definite tones of lavender, licorice, creme de cassis and roasted coffee. On the palate the leathery tannins create velvety structure typical of the area and allowing the wine to be drunk now and up to 15 years.
