Made from 70 per-cent Tempranillo and 30 per-cent Monastrol grapes the Castillo de Almansa Reserva is matured in American oak barrels for 12 months. The wine is then matured for a further 10 months in bottle prior to release.

The nose of this Spanish red is deep and intense with features of plums, red peppers and cassis nose. In the mouth this red wine has a rich, velvety softness with concentrated crushed blackcurrant and wild berry fruits.
