Precision Glasses by Spiegelau

With over five hundred years of experience, the spiegelau factory has a tradition of combining hand-craftmanship with the latest technology to create glasses of the very highest quality.

A new technique is used in the manufacture of the raymond blanc précision range - the platinum process - and this is yet another example of the company’s commitment to innovation in pursuit of excellence. During this process, the glass in its liquid stage is passed through platinum tubes to eliminate impurities and remove imperfections. The result is a strong, fine, high performance glass capable of undergoing 1500 dishwasher cycles with no loss of clarity or brilliance (tests performed by the lga testing institute in germany).

Most wine glasses are chosen for their appearance but, for me, the most important factor by far is performance. The design and shape of a glass can have a significant impact on the way a wine tastes. My précision range takes this factor to new heights.

Developed by a team of wine experts working alongside Spiegelau’s top designers, the Précision range has been created to provide the ideal wine glass, matching performance with beauty. The wide contour at the base of the bowl allows the aromas to develop within the glass, enhancing the bouquet to bring out the more complex flavours.
