Bright golden yellow. Delicate and elegant on the nose, with floral aromas, lychee and apricot notes. Balanced on the palate, it is round, corpulent and creamy, with agreeable acidity and a fresh and long finish.
Casa Sailva Quinta Generacion white is blended from 40% Viognier, 40% Sauvignon Gris and 20% Chardonnay.
Via Casa Silva own grapes from Colchagua Valley;
Viognier from Lolol Estate and Chardonnay and Sauvignon Gris from Angostura Estate. Original massal selection of Sauvignon Gris vines planted in 1912, the oldest in Chile and one of the very few in the world. Pre-selected micro-terroir plots.
Hand sorted grapes, before and after destemming. Reductive method transportation to press. Crushed and run off from 8 hours to a whole day according to each variety. Must
separation and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 to 20 days depending on the variety. Lees work in the tank. Half of the blend undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
The Chardonnay aged for 7 months in french oak barrels. Viognier aged for 6 months in French oak barrels. Sauvignon Gris in stainless steels tanks.
This outstanding wine is ideal for seafood based cuisine like sushi, shrimp dishes, seasoned fish or seafood pastas. It also works perfect with delicatessen such as snails, oysters, king crab and lobster. You can also enjoy it as an aperitif with light cheeses, sour cream dips and cream cheese. If you are planning a light main-course meal you can enjoy it with caesar or mediterranean salads, as well as with stuffed chicken breast or turkey.
