Colour density is medium with a bright hue. The aroma displays cherry and chocolate with a touch of kirsch while the oak is not apparent. The palate is linear and tight with fine acidity. Oak balances some sweet, dark chocolate, plum and cherry flavours which open strongly after a while in glass indicating good cellaring potential: 5-8 years.

The intention is to produce a wine which has youthful fruit intensity and great perfume but with the structure to age successfully, thus allowing time, rather than winemaker intervention, to develop the exciting, gamey complexities which we look for in top Pinot Noirs.
