The vineyard is located in the North of the appellation and leans against the foothills of the Cevennes.
The soil is made of schists and acid soils, of a sandy silty texture. The specificity of the soil is to store the heat during the day to give it back during the night. The plant has to look deeply into the soil for water which is scarce.

Destemming and separate vinification for each grape variety. The 5 day fermentation under controlled temperature is followed by a 3 week maceration. After the malolactic fermentation, we blend the different wines and 30% of the wine is then aged in the American oak barrels during 8 months, the rest in cement vats.

With a nose of liquorice, blackberry marmalade, violet brew with hints of balsamic and resins. On the palate this wine is round with velvety tannins, moving towards mature black fruit flavours.
