With vineyards in Marlborough, Waipara and Central Otago, Mud House have staked claim on some of the finest wine growing land in New Zealand.

Wines carrying the Mud House label represent some 90% of total production. The all display the energy, passion and un-waivering devotion to quality winemaking. Through a combination of traditional and contemporary methods Mud House ensures quality is never sacrificed and act as an ambassador for premium New Zealand wines.

A crisp, fresh Sauvignon Blanc from mud House with ripe flavours of passionfruit and gooseberry. These tropical flavours blend beautifully with citrus and nettle notes and the zingy acid gives way to a long balanced finish. Lifted aromas of passionfruit and guava with hints of fresh green beans and nettles.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from Mud House’s Marlborough vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley, as well as carefully selected grower vineyards throughout the Wairau and Awatere Valleys.

Typical Pinot Gris characters of baked apple and custard predominate on this example from Mud House. An appealing oiliness defines the mid palate. The finish is dry with a lovely depth of flavour. The nose shows peach and citrus notes with a background complexity of strawberry and mushroom.

The fruit for Mud House Pinot Gris was sourced from the d'Avergene vineyard in Marlborough and the Glasnevin Vineyard in Waipara. The d'Avergene Vineyard is located in the lower Wairau Valley and has deep fertile soils where the Glasnevin Vineyard is sited on the Waipara River and has free draining alluvial soils.

Broadly proportioned palate with a dry balanced finish and a citrus/ apple like acidity. The nose on Mud House Riesling is ripe citrus in the orange spectrum with stone-fruit notes supporting. The colour shows definite green / gold highlights.

95% of the Riesling fruit for this Mud House wine was sourced from one of our own Waipara vineyards, The Mound. The balance was selected from from their Central Otago vineyard located in Bendigo.

A soft palate with fresh bright red fruit and subtle spice flavours. The palate lingers with delicate acidity. Subtle aromas on the nose of berry fruit compote and sweet spice. After arriving at the winery the grapes were gently destemed to open fermenters. After a five day cold soak the fermentation was started with a mix of wild and cultured yeast. The grapes were hand plunged or pumped over twice a day to extract the colour, flavour and tannin structure. After pressing, each parcel was kept separate for maturation.

The fruit for this Mud House Pinot Noir was sourced from selected Marlborough vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys.

The Swan Reserve Pinot Noir by Mud House shows a lifted nose of dark cherry, raspberry and mocha with hints of crushed herb and clove. A single vineyard wine, the fruit was sourced from Mud House’s Bendigo Vineyard in Central Otago.
