Champagne Louis Roederer Carte Blanche

Carte Blanche is slightly sweet, smooth and creamy; an ideal dessert wine. A sugar dosage gives the wine a pleasant sweetness without masking its complexity and elegance. The colour is pale golden. The inclusion of oak-aged reserve wines from four to 10 years is more apparent than in the Brut quality champagnes. The reserve wines give complexity and roundness characteristic of Louis Roederer champagnes.

The grapes come from only the finest crus with a rating of 98 or more on Champagne’s regional rating scale. Only juice from the first pressing of these exceptional grapes is used in producing Carte Blanche. A blend of 10 to 20 percent oak-aged wines from Roederer’s extensive reserve cellars vintage wines is added to further enhance the wine and give it its distinctive Roederer style.

Aging
Three years of aging on the lees, and another six months after disgorging.
