Ironstone Winery

Grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in the south-west of Western Australia from Donnybrook through to Margaret River. Soils are predominantly laterite ironstone gravels.

These bright red soils give the name to the label.
The main canopy management technique is vertical shoot positioning, aimed at maximising sunlight into the fruiting zone. Irrigation was used judiciously to maintain balanced vine growth and a steady rate of ripening.

This fresh and zesty wine is blended from Chardonnay and Semillon grapes sourced from vineyards in the south west of Western Australia. Here the sunny skies, warm days and red ironstone soils nurture vines that produce wines of great appeal. Medium bodied, crisp and dry, this wine brims with enticing aromas of citrus and fresh fruits - the essence of an Australian summer.
