Personalised Wine Labels:
Proofs are typically sent next working day for approval. Please reply as soon as possible to the email with your approval or any changes necessary - we will not print until approval is received. Any images you provide for printing on the label are assumed to be free of copyright or you hold or have permission to use the images. We will not print any images which are obviously trademarked or watermarked.
Making A Purchase:
Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Amex cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. Due to the nature of our products we reserve the right to substitute itmes for the next available vintage. All items are offered subject to availabilty. Whilst we carry a massive range of stock placing an order does not guarantee the item is available. You will be notified of any out of stock items.
By placing an order with Barrels & Bottles you confirm you are of minimum legal age to purchase alcohol as set out by local legislation. Barrels & Bottles reserves the right not to supply alcohol to anyone who is, or we believe to be, not of mimimum age to purchase or consume alcohol.

Shipping And Handling
All goods are despatched Monday to Friday. Weekend deliveries currently not available.We are unable to ship sparklign wine and Champagne overseas, sorry.
Please allow 5-7 working days from time of order for delivery. Malt Whisky is sent directly from the distillery and may take up to 14 working days. Please allow extra time during the busy Christmas period and inclement weather.
All deliveries must be signed for unless you request items to be left unsigned when completing the transaction. Items left unsigned are at your own risk. Barrels & Bottles and our delivery agents cannot accept any resposibility for loss or damages without a signature.
In the rare event of a breakage or damage to the box please note the delivery ticket accordingly and inform Barrels & Bottles immediately. Our delivery agents will not inform us of and breakages of losses. Please quote your order reference at all times.
Please ensure the correct address is provided and recipients are able to accept deliveries. Refused and failed deliveries will be returned back to Barrels & Bottles at a cost of £14.50 payable by the sender. If no one is available to receive the goods our carrier will notify the recipient of the attempted delivery with a "Card" placed through the letter box. If the items are not claimed within 5 days they will be returned to Barrels & Bottles at a cost of £14.50 payable by the sender.

Out of Stock Items:
If your item is not in stock, we will provide a substitute item of similar nature and value. We reserve the right to substitute out of stock goods without prior consent.VAT

Under the Home Shopping : Distance Selling Regulations private purchasers have the right to cancel the order up to 7 days after receipt of items if the items have not been used. This does not apply to items made to a purchasers own specification (eg: personalised labels, personalisation, own branding etc). A charge of £4.00 will be made for the non-completion or cancellation of personalised products where a proof has been created and not printed.Cancellation of orders must be made by letter, fax or email. A phone call cancellation is not enough. It is the customers duty to take full care of all items.
Returning of items is the resonsibility of the customer who is liable for the cost of returns. The customer must ensure all reasonable care is taken to ensure the safe return of items and in their original packaging where appropriate. Failure to return at the customers expense (except where the items are faulty or do not comply with the contract) Barrels & Bottles will recover the items and offset the amount against any refund due. If the items are faulty or do not comply with the contract Barrels & Bottles will be liable for return charges.
Refunds for returned and cancelled orders will be made as soon as possible and within 30 days of return.
The Home Shopping : Distance Selling Regulations does not apply to Business purchases

Storage Wines
We offer the facility to store wine at Barrels & Bottles, Chesterfield. Charges are £10.00 per case per annum plus VAT to cover storage and insurance for goods of value up to £500.00 per case. Cases of higher value will incur a surcharge pro-rata to value.
Invoices for storage are issued on the date of placement into storage on a pro-rata basis and then on the 1st January on a rolling basis so long as the goods are in our possession.
Payment for storage must be made within 31 days of receipt of invoice. You have the right to cancel your storage arrangement within the 31 days whereby the wine must be collected and removed from the premises. Goods removed from storage after 31 days from invoice have storage charged for the full 12 months. 7 days notice in writing is required for removal of goods in our possession. You must quote your Barrels & Bottles invoice number as proof of ownership. Any overdue sums must be paid before goods are released to your possession.
We shall be entitled to a lien on any property in our possession which belongs to you in circumstances where any sum is due from you whether in respect of that property or for any reason whatsoever. If the storage (or goods) remain unpaid after 120 days from invoice we reserve the right to dispose of the goods on your behalf to recover costs. The amount raised may not be the current value of the goods. If the amount raised does not cover costs you will be liable to pay any outstanding differences.
