Domaine de Colette - Beaujolais

This area located on slopes facing south-east spans 16 hectares. It is led since 1980 by Jacky Gauthier, whose wines are regularly well in the Guide. This year, if the Beaujolais-Villages red 2007 Coteaux de Colette is cited, the purplish red morgon gets two stars. It delivers fresh scents and discreet red fruits, cassis and plum. The elegant palate, while power and finesse, reveals a rich, balanced body, with aromas of ripe grapes. This wine, worthy representative of the appellation, will be tasted in the next two years.
