Corporate wine tasting events

Looking to entertain clients or reward staff? A wine tasting event by Barrels & Bottles is a great way to interact in a more social environment.

Combining over 30 years of importing wines with our very own Radio BBC Sheffield wine specialist Andrew Coghlan we have the knowledge, expertise and skills to provide an entertaining event.

Wine tasting locations

As well as our our tasting room in Chesterfield we can take our event team out on the road and host the event at you workplace or any suitable venue... from the village hall to the Town Hall. Your event co-oridinator will discuss your requirements and advice of suitable facilities.

Types of events

We tailor the event to your requirements but with the emphasis on fun. Typical events include :

* New World v Old World
* wine quiz
* food and wine matching
* guest speakers
* vintner visits

Our cookery school can supply a range of food from home-made bread to soak up the alcohol through finger buffet and full silver service. Please ask you co-ordinator about our food packages.

How the events work

For a standard wine tasting we generally require access to the venue at least an hour before the start to ensure glasses are polished and wines are open for breathing. Wine tastings typically last about 2 hours and up to 3 if food is being served. For preparation and service we require a table - if none are available we can bring our own or hire them in on your behalf.

Barrels & Bottles supply all the glasses, wines, spittoons and everything needed for the event.

After the event has finished we clean down and remove everything from site. If your guests wish to continue the party we will happily leave glasses and wines and uplift the following day.

Learn and Enjoy

We realise your guests do not want to sit through a lecture so all events are designed to be fun yet informative. We can provide as much or as little information about the wines depending on each the group.

Unlike most wine tasting companies we do not operate a hard sell campaign. Guests are not under any pressure or obligation to buy anything. The event is yours and not our selling campaign.
