Château Paul Mas is part of the Domaines Paul Mas estates and now covers a surface of 22 hectares located on the hills between the Herault valley and the Mediterranean sea coast near the villages of Montagnac and Sète. The vineyard enjoys a South, South West exposure with the cooling influence from the sea. The Clos des Mûres vineyard is a specific vineyard of 11 hectares, part of the Château Paul Mas, surrounded by wild mulberry (mûres) plants. This wine has been crafted by Jean Claude Mas, inheritor of the more than 100 years old winemaking tradition of their family.

Colour: intense purple violet with garnet tints.

Nose: Complex with blackcurrants, violet, blackberries, turning to cacao and spices.

Palate: well balanced and smooth tannins, full bodied. Strong fruity characters with a long finish evolving towards liquorice and toasted notes. Elegant and refined with long lasting Cellaring: Over 10 years.

Food pairing: 17 to 18°C with preferably pasta dishes, beef stews, red meat, game, pate and soft full flavour cheeses.
