Culley Marborough Pinot Noir

The grapes for this wine are grown in the Rapaura region of Marlborough. A selection of Pinot Noir clones (667, 777 and clone 5) each contribute individuality to the final blend.

Each clone was harvested at optimum maturity and cold soaked for 4 days to enable the gentle extraction of colour and flavour prior to the commencement of fermentation. After fermentation the wine was pressed to oak for maturation. The wine was lightly egg fined prior to bottling.

This Pinot Noir displays fragrant cherry and red berry aromas with traces of thyme, mushroom and other earthy characters. The palate is lively, but also generous, with a long, silky finish. The wine is crafted to be enjoyed while youthful, fresh and vibrant.
