The rainfall registered in the period from the fall to the spring was sufficient enough to sustain the vines through a dry summer until the harvest. The climatic conditions caused a delay of 10-15 days from the usual harvest period and contributed to an optimal maturation of the grapes that arrived at the winery. In general the quality of the grapes was excellent. The Merlot was harvested at dawn in the third week of August, with an ambient temperature of 14º C.
The must, along with the skins, undergoes fermentation and maceration for 12 days in stainless-steel, self-emptying vats at a controlled temperature of 28º C. Following fermentation, the wine was aged in American and French oak for three months and then filtered and bottled.

Ruby colour with violet rim. Notes of pastry with hints of raspberry, dairy and liquorice and a touch of balsamic.

On the palate it is meaty and shows a lot of fruit with fine tannins.

Food Matches: Braised meats, legumes, grilled vegetables, game meats, rice dishes and blue cheese.

100% Merlot
