Lodovico Antinori - Tuscany

Marchese Lodovico Antinori is of the old Florentine wine nobility and the family has been in the wine trade since the 14th century. In 1980, the Marchese handed the family firm to his brother and founded his own vineyard "Ornellaia". This is situated on the Tuscan side of the Mediterranean coast at Bolgheri, which is now world famous for its Ornellaia and Masseto wines. Both have been specially chosen for the von Essen selection and are drinking well now.
