100% Carmenère grapes from Rapel Valley, Alto Cachapoal.
The must is fermented between 27-29°C. The maceration process takes place between 1 and 8 days in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation follows. The wine is not aged in oak barrels.
Unique to Chile, this full bodied Anakena Carmenère is dark cherry red in colour with blackberry notes, pepper and chocolate aromas. Rich and fruity on the palate it has a velvety finish and is delicious with red meat, game, pasta and cheese.
Recommended serving temperature is 18-20ºC.
