Alcesti is a very modern winery situated in Marsala and maintains an age-old experience for which the winery is known. French oak barriques are used to bring attention to detail in the wines.

Alcesti Reserve Chardonnay

Alcesti Chardonnay is a pale yellow Sicilian wine with light green reflections. The nose has fragramces of honey and vanilla and is particularly fresh with a definite sensation of acidity but mild on the palate.

The Chardonnay grapes are harvested by hand and put into crates in the first 10 days of August. The grapes are destemmed then put through a soft press to obtain the must which is fermented at controlled temperatures.

A golden yellow coloured wine. The nose offers scents of yellow fruits and a hint of typical Mediterranean plants. The palate is fresh and fruity with a full-bodies taste of strong character and intense structure.

The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and then frozen at a controlled temperatures of 8oC for 10-12 hours. They follow a loose pressing and placed into stainless steel vats and fermented at 12-15oC

Alcesti Pignatello Rose

A bright rose with the aromas of cherry and strawberries, a well-balanced and fresh tasting wine.

The Pignatello grapes are harvested by hand a put into crates, they are taken off the stems and crushed in the cellar. The grapes are macerated for one day in tank, then put through a soft press and the must obtained. This is fermented at a controlled temperature of 12-15 oC.

Pignatellow rose is best tasted young but will age for up to 3 years.
